The Meaning Behind Nadine Lustre’s 12 Tattoos

Tattooing is an ancient art form done by ancestors dating back to as early as the pre-colonial Philippines. Many other countries and islands in the Pacific perform tattooing as part of their cultural identity and social status during the ancient times. Now we are at the modern era, wearing tattoos on bodies is still an art form and an identification of self-expression.

Artists and enthusiasts indulge on tattooing from those minimalist, small tattoos to an overall cover-up on their body. Even celebrities wear this piece of art on their bodies, and one of them is Nadine Lustre.

Nadine’s tattoos have sparked interest among her fans most especially because of their meanings. As of the moment, the actress has a total of 12 tattoos on her body, each of them having special meanings behind them. Let’s get to know Nadine’s tattoos and the meaning behind them:

1.Nozomi Komiya. Tattooed on her right bicep, it is a Japanese translation of her name given that the actress had Japanese ancestral roots. Her name, Nadine, also means “hope” and “hope” in Japanese is Nozomi.

2.Rose. A rose is one of her favorite flowers, and of course, she would have had it tattooed on her wrist whose veins are the closest to the heart. For the actress, rose symbolizes self-love.

3.“Nakayapak at nahihiwagaan”. Nadine decided to pay homage to her brother’s favorite song, who passed away under unfortunate circumstances. She had the tattoo on his death anniversary.

4.Oh La La. Nadine is a big fan of Lady Gaga, so in no doubt, having this tattooed on her finger symbolizes her admiration for the singer.

5.Ma Cherie. A French term which means “my sweetheart” to which Nadine alludes to herself being “her own sweetheart”. 6. Sparkles. An emoji of sparkles which is a matching tattoo for her BFFs Andrea and Kiana. 7.  Heart sign. A symbol of heart reminds Nadine “to do everything with love”.

8.Moon. A moon sign tattooed on her left wrist was inspired by the song Everglow by Coldplay. This tattoo reminds her of people who have passed in her life.  9. Vine. A symbol of vine reminds her to keep her feet on the ground. 10. Ego Omnia. Latin for “I am Everything”. 11. Nobrigado. New tattoos included on her body art which means “No, Thank You.”

12.Lotus Flower. Tattooed on her left arm, Nadine symbolizes this flower as a sign of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration, and rebirth wherein lotus flowers bloom in the most putrid environment but still manage to be full of grace and beauty.
