The world was wowed by the amazing talent, beauty, and skills of Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo after the recent pageant competition held in Florida, USA. Although the Philippines’ representative for the prestigious beauty contest was not fortunate in bringing home the crown for this year, Rabiya was still able to make it to the Top 21 and received the utmost support of her Filipino fans.

Right after the competition, many fans were surprised by Rabiya’s new look which she uploaded on her Instagram account last May 24.


The beauty queen was sporting a pixie cut hairstyle which greatly complements her fierce exotic Filipina look and emphasizes her contoured jawlines even more.Rabiya also wrote on the caption: “Nah just bluffing.”



But a few minutes after netizens raved over her new look which went viral on the internet, the Filipina beauty queen revealed that she did not really cut her hair short. Rabiya also reassured her fans that she kept her long locks and said: “Don’t worry, it’s just a wig.” Rabiya posted on her Instagram stories.


On the other hand, many were digging on Rabiya’s short hair look and even celebrities and fellow beauty queens also complimented her cute pixie cut.



According to some, short hair greatly suits her and really spices up her new look now that she has more free time to relax and unwind after the competition.


As of now, Rabiya is still in the United States after the 69th Miss Universe pageant and enjoys her stay and vacation abroad before she flies back to the Philippines and resume her profession.


In another Instagram post, the Pinay beauty reminisces her experience with the pageant and said: “I can’t believe it’s been one week already. For those asking how am I, you have nothing to worry. I’m enjoying my mini vacay here in the US. Just a few more days and I’ll be working again.”


Rabiya also expressed her utmost gratefulness and thanks to all the people and Filipino fans all over the world who showed their love and supported her journey in the Miss Universe competition, she said: “I failed to bring home the crown but I gained the hearts of millions of Filipinos, and that makes me a winner. Salamat Pilipinas! Lalaban pa rin tayo sa buhay.”
